Professor William Rupley has about 40 years of experience in academia and research, specifically in the areas of teaching, learning and culture. He is currently Professor of Reading Education at Texas A&M University (United States). He was awarded Distinguished Research Fellow by the College of Education & Human Development. He holds a Ph.D. in Reading & Educational Methodology and Research and is the Regents Fellow. He is the Executive Editor of the International Journal of Reading Psychology since 1989, and was previously the Co-Editor. He is also an Editorial Board Member for several journals: Journal of Reading Education, Journal of Learning & Individual Differences, Journal of Literacy Research & Instruction, and Journal of Reading & Writing Quarterly. He was previous the Editorial Board Member for Reading Research & Instruction, Scientific Studies of Reading, and The Reading Teacher. Professor Rupley has written several publications relating to the Science of Reading and Learning. He was formerly a member of Texas Education Agency Office of Statewide Initiatives.
