Professor Oliver McGee has more than 25 years of experience in the field of engineering and in academia, and has been active as a social, technological, education, economic, and political (STEEP) analyst and strategist. He is currently Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Howard University (United States). He was Professor and Chair of Department of Civil Engineering & Geodetic Science at the Ohio State University (United States) and was Visiting Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has been a researcher, an administrator, and an advisor to government, corporations and philanthropy. He was a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Transportation at the U.S. Department of Transportation, and a former Senior Policy Analyst in the Executive Office of the U.S. President. Professor McGee receives several honors and awards that include the NASA Faculty Award for Research; Special Recognition by the 119th General Assembly of the State of Ohio as Ohio’s Finest Citizen; as well as being a Fellow of the American Council on Education (ACE). He has two Masters degree, a M.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from University of Arizona and a MBA degree from University of Chicago, as well as a Ph.D. from University of Arizona.
