Professor Brian McGaw has more than 35 years of experience starting out as a Research Scientist in Biology and Chemistry, and later into Academia. He is currently Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President of La Trobe University (Australia). He has held academic leadership positions at Deakin University (Australia), University of Lincoln (UK), Robert Gordon University (UK) and University of Aberdeen (UK). He was a Visiting Professor at the University of Lincoln (UK), and was also a Research Fellow at University of Minnesota (USA), Aberystwyth University (UK), as well as at Nestle S.A. (Switzerland). He received the Times Higher Education Prize in 2007 for widening participation in higher education.
Professor Brian received several credentials and fellowships in prestigious organizations. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK); a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK); a Chartered Scientist from The Science Council (UK); and a Chartered Biologist from the Institute of Biology (UK). He was also Chair of the Research and Collaboration Advisory Board at the AgriBio Centre for AgroBioscience (Australia).
Scope of Expertise: Higher Education Leadership, Chartered Scientist, Chartered Chemist, and Chartered Biologist, specifically in the development and applications of isotopes.
