World Certification Institute (WCI) is a global body whose membership comprises competent professionals and practitioners from diverse occupational backgrounds and cross-functional disciplines. The membership categories provide for admission at levels that reflect skills and competencies attained.
Criteria for Admission
An essential criterion for a prospective member is attaining a Credential Award from World Certification Institute (WCI) or an equivalent award.
All members are required to demonstrate a reputation of integrity by agreeing to abide by a Code of Ethical Practices, or an equivalent code relevant to their occupational requirements and acceptable to World Certification Institute (WCI).
Adherence to this code serves to assure public confidence on the integrity of members.
Categories of Individual Membership
- Associate Member: any person who has been granted by World Certification Institute (WCI) with the following Credential Awards: World Accredited Practitioner (WAP); or World Accredited Expert Practitioner (WAEP) or World Certified Professional (WCP) or an equivalent award. Associate members are authorized to use the post-nominal membership designation of AWCI.
- Full Member: any person who has been granted by World Certification Institute (WCI) with the following Credential Awards: World Accredited Lead Practitioner (WALP) or a World Certified Specialist Professional (WCSP). Full members are authorized to use the post-nominal membership designation of MWCI.
- Associate Fellow: any person who has been granted by World Certification Institute (WCI) with the Credential Award of World Certified Master Professional (WCMP). Prominent professionals may be invited by WCI Board to serve as Councilors and granted this membership class. Associate fellows are authorized to use the post-nominal membership designation of AFWCI.
- Fellow: admission to this category is restricted by invitation of WCI Board and is typically a Councilor of World Certification Institute (WCI). This membership class recognizes outstanding leaders, thinkers and professionals in the diverse occupational fields, disciplines and areas of expertise. Fellows are authorized to use the post-nominal membership designation of FWCI.
- Distinguished Fellow: admission to this category is restricted by invitation and is typically a world-renowned leader, thinker or professional, in a specialized field. This membership class is to honor those who had made a positive impact to Society through his or her specialized field. A citation is required for ratification of WCI Board. Distinguished Fellows will be listed on the “Hall of Wisdom” at WCI site. Those who are conferred this honor are authorized to describe themselves as “Distinguished Fellows of World Certification Institute”.
- Emeritus Fellow: admission to this category is restricted by invitation and is typically a world-renowned leader, thinker or professional, in a specialized field and in full retirement. This membership class is to honor those who had made a positive impact to Society but are fully retired from economic participation. A citation is required for ratification of WCI Board. Emeritus Fellows will be listed on the “Hall of Wisdom” at WCI site. Those who are conferred this honor are authorized to describe themselves as “Emeritus Fellows of World Certification Institute”.
