Professor Jahangir Karimi has more than 30 years of experience in information system strategy. He has a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Arizona. He is currently Professor in Information Systems Program at the University of Colorado at Denver. He specializes in IT-enable E-business transformation and new business models, systems integration, data warehousing, business intelligence and Analytics, as well as disruptive innovations, digitization and massively open online courses. He was an invited Specialist on systems analysis and design at Fudan University (China) and has been a Visiting Academic at the University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong). Professor Karimi has received several achievements and honors that include the 2012 Laube Community Impact Award; the Business School Outstanding Research Award; the “Accenture Term Professorship” award for excellence in research, teaching and service contributions; the UCHSC Clinical Science Program “Special Contribution Award” for establishing Clinical Science Program Health IT track and contribution on the Clinical Science Program Advisory Board. He has received several awards relating to Outstanding Service and Outstanding Research from the University of Colorado Denver Business School.
