Professor Mats MAGNUSSON

Professor Mats Magnusson is currently Chairman of the Continuous Innovation Network and Vice-President of UNITECH International, collaboration amongst 9 European technical universities and more than 20 multi-national companies. He has broad experience of working as a researcher, consultant and a coach with companies, ranging from start-ups to multi-national corporations.

Mats Magnusson has been a Visiting Professor at Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome, University of Bologna in Italy, and Aalborg University in Denmark. His research spans a wide range of topics, including strategy and innovation, knowledge management, and continuous improvement. He has written several articles relating to these topics, specifically in the International Journal of Technology Management.

He is currently an Associate Professor at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and Director of the research institute IMIT. He holds a PhD degree in Innovation Engineering and Management, and a Master degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, both from Chalmers University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Japanese from the University of Gothenburg.
